- Perseverance Porters & Pies Festival TBC

There will be a social on Friday from 1pm by Alan Molloy and a Saturday social by Steve Goodall at 1pm.

We hope that Nick is going to do his cheffing to produce 100's of wonderful pies to absorb the great porters & stouts he will choose for his festival.
Kick off the post-Christmas blues and come down, eat some superb homemade pies and drink plenty of porter at this excellent little festival.

Here is a sample of pies that Nick has made in the past to accompany the porters.

The Happy Man is in the GBG 2026 and has 3 beer festivals a year, each offering an entirely different range of real ales from all over the country.
The pub is in Englefield Green, a 45 min bus ride from Slough on a First Beeline bus No.8. NOTE: the last bus back to Slough is approx 21.00.
Ales are sold in 2 glass sizes (½ pint and pint) which make trying the range and finding favourites easier.
Cider is also available.

2026 will be their fifth Beer Fest.
Again they will be offering three sessions across the two days for you to come along and taste the best beers and ciders they have found in the last year! If you've followed their socials you will know they have loved getting out there taste testing so you'll be sure to find many new beers you've not tried before and maybe some breweries you've never even heard of before!
The Hall is laid out with long trestle tables which ensures that whether you are coming along solo or as part of a large group you will be surrounded by fellow beer drinkers so a fun social session is guaranteed!
Hot freshly prepared food is available across all sessions,
NOTE: This is a ticketed event and the tickets are on sale.

Around 25 to 30 one off cask conditioned Real Ales from around the UK plus Ciders & Perries and draught craft beers

Please note that, as always, not all the beers will be available at any one time as they will be cycled through the pub / beer tent over the weekend.
The White Horse will be putting on their usual first beer festival of the year, always a great event.
