CAMRA accredited for serving consistently well-kept real ales. A short walk from the Town Hall this former coaching inn became a Wetherspoon in 2009 and has an open plan bar with several different seating areas, including a licensed outside area to the front of the pub. A spiral staircase leads to an upper floor with additional seating. The ten hand pumps dispense up to six guest ales many from local breweries. Two or three ciders are often available, including Old Rosie and Black Dragon.
