CAMRA accredited for serving consistently well-kept real ales. Small one-bar pub in Denham Village conservation area, looking out onto the village green. The building which dates from the 18th century but has a smart interesting interior. Good food is served lunchtimes and evenings, with bar snacks supplementing the restaurant menu. Tea, coffee and Danish pastries served from 9am. Not a disabled person's pub - entrance via interesting worn old steps straight off the road, and the toilets are upstairs. Parking can sometimes be difficult, but there is easy access from Denham Station (900m) via the South Bucks Way footpath. High quality accommodation is offered. There is a lovely sunny garden to the rear. Aa of 1st of OCTOBER, THE KITCHEN IS CLOSED.
